The first season American Idol winner has come a long way from her hay days in Katy, Texas. She’s now 27, with new hot singles, and loving everything about herself–except, maybe, the weight she’s put on over the past seven years.
On an fm show in Australia, Clarkson told the Kyle and Jackie O Show why she’s currently not laughing. “The rumors are not helping me on the dating front!” she said. “I prefer the boys. I’m extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls, and I think it’s hot, but I’m not into it. I like boys.”
But other than that, the Texas native sticks it to her bullies. “I love my body. I’m very much OK with it. I don’t think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people.”
We agree Clarkson. Curvy is sexy. And Clarkson’s currently curvy, sexy, and single.

You know what? Screw the people that think Kelly Calrkson needs to loose weight! Why does she? When 63% of Americans are obese with a BMI in excess of 25.0!
It’s absolutly ridiculous that they’re worrying about a phyiscly fit Clarkson while the rest of America is rolling off their couches to go order more Chinese food.
I guess my point here is – You don’t need to be skinny or beautiful (which Kelly is but..) to be talented. The ability to sing, write, act, draw, etc. comes within a person, not on the outside.

Kelly is HUGE! Fat people are ulgy. She is an entertainer and its just wrong to go on stage in her condition. Let alone wear a two piece!
She needs to drop that weight stat.

Well ya know what? Life is about being happy. And she seems pretty fricken’ happy to me, so why don’t you think about that? I am 13 years old and Kelly is a role model to me because she is OK with her weight and thats huge for me at this age. She inspires me to be happy. Ofcoarse i’m going to try to be as healthy as possible but a few extra pounds doesn’t matter. She makes me feel comfortable. I am 5′9 in the 8th grade and now thanks to Kelly, I feel totally comfortable with myself and boosted my self confidence. So just shut up and find something else to complain about.
Oh and by the way…..FAT PEOPLE ARE NOT UGLY THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL LIKE THE REST OF US.

For goodness sake, there are starving people in Africa and abused children and animals all over the world and you are all obsessing over some celebrity gaining a few pounds? Wow, what a waste of time! You people are the type of people that can point out Iraq on a map! You’re right Anonymouswriter, there are starving people in Africa. So maybe Kelly Clarkson should think of them instead of herself and her own self indulgences for once and cut back on her calorie intake so that there is some food left for those who really need it. Being fat is being selfish.
And how can you say that anyone who responds to your comment should instead be trying to be a better person by leaving it alone, when you are in fact responding to other people’s comments about some celebrity being fat on a pointless forum.

Kelly u are beautiful!!! To hell with what they say your an all american woman. For those that think stick figures are beautiful they are nuts. Kelly your a perfect 10 in my book you have always been since I first saw you on American Idol. You were just as sexy then and you will remain sexy to the end. Remember woman age like wine, the older they get the more sexier they become.

Kelly’s too fat. The entertainment industry has standards that “normal” people don’t need to fit–Kelly’s not technically/aesthetically pleasing.
But because she’s such a role model, she also needs to set a healthy example… I bet sales at McDonald’s have gone up since her new album came out. Who wants a nation full of chubby, undatable, self-conscious girls? Not my (future) kids, and probably not yours.
No one’s asking her to be stick thin, a nation full of anorexic bimbos wouldn’t be good either… but she just doesn’t look hot and healthy. Some toning will do her some good.

Cool, I’m glad there are men out there who will settle for the chubby chicks we don’t want. Toned women are, too, realistic… I know some–they eat healthy and exercise, and are nice people at that.

I never said that skinny so-called “healthy” girls weren’t nice. I know many people who are “nice” but who I think just need to eat a few hamburgers so they won’t look like Auschwitz victims.

Dude WTF?!
Kelly is a role model for EVERYONE at every age and every size. Just cuz she gained weight doesn’t mean that she can’t be a role model to skinny people. It just means she opened it up to all the “chubby” people and that is soooo not a bad thing to be chubby or over weight. And being chubby doesn’t mean undateable. I am 13 and look up to her more than anyone. She is amazing. So shut your face and find something else to do.

Kelly Clarkson is blindingly gorgeous. If it hurts her on the dating front for idiots to call her fat then maybe she needs to find different people to date. I’d give anything to be her man and show her that most of us “real” men prefer women with curves.

You are at a healthy weight, an unhealthy weight is at least 180lbs.

kelly is a cutie with nice body proportions. she looked better a few years when she was slightly less heavier and more toned. id still bang her either way, she’s sexy.

Sweetheart, you are downright freakin’ gorgeous!!!
People these days need to understand that women (ALL women) throughout the ages were and ARE designed to carry a little “extra” padding…yes, you heard me…women are designed to be a bit “reubenesque”. Just look at some of the paintings from the Da Vinci Period…OOOHH…LA-LA!!!
In short; who wants a “bean-pole”? If I’d wanted “string-bean” sex, I’d have gotten with “Twiggy” or with a broomstick, or something!
So, NO! Those pics of you on the beach are downright freaking AWESOME and don’t ever let anyone ever tell you otherwise!!!
I’d sweep you off your feet and take you to my private, secluded island (if I had one) and do incredible, wonderful and unspeakable things with you…I’m a “boy” BTW…just to clarify…
